Covid-19 has been both a devil and an angel. I have had so many positive things come from it but it also has put a hold on so many things that are massively beneficial to my life and my future. I have met so many amazing people, I have started college, I have gotten closer than ever to my mum and overall I have had time to look after myself mentally and let myself relax. On the down side, I have been trying for almost a year now just to go into part time work and due to the flood of unemployment being a 17 year old with no experience I am never anyone's pick of the bunch. It has been hard because as you grow up you do start to realise money doesn't grow on trees.
It is hard for me and so many other teens at the moment because now when they leave college and potentially don’t go to university they are going to find it hard to make money and find full time employment. Along with this I haven't seen my family in over a year and with lockdown popping up here and there it really has put a toll on family celebrations.
Overall, Covid has put me through my fair share of ups and downs but in the long run it has helped me discover my true self and the person I want to be.
