I love books. I love reading them. I love browsing for one, I love flicking through them, In short I’m a bookworm.
Yet ever since the first lockdown I haven’t been able to pick one up and immerse myself in another world. Lockdowns have made me feel unfocused and unmotivated at times. Starting college has also thrown a spanner into the works.
It’s been a while but I have slowly found my love for reading in a different form of audio books.
Recently I have been listening to Jane Austen’s ‘Northanger Abbey’ on Spotify and it’s been great!
I don’t have to worry about losing my place on a page or losing track of the plot halfway through…
I can just click on a track and let it do all its work for me.
Audio books will never replace a physical copy in my opinion yet they are lovely companions whether that would be as background noise, or simply as a chance to kick back and relax for a while.
There are a variety of different platforms that offer audio books.
Places such as Youtube and Spotify…
And the best part is you can listen for free.
You’re just ‘one click’ away from a different fictional place.
