By Edyth Leach

1. Leather Jackets

There is more than one reason as to why leather jackets have made their way back into the hearts of the public. Not only are they unisex, therefore popular among males and females, the design is always being developed, never looking outdated. Their versatility allows for users to have a variety of outfit choices, meaning that the diversity among peoples wardrobes will significantly increase. The leather jacket is more commonly associated with gangsters or popular people in movies, creating the idea that by wearing one, you fit in with that group. It’s easy to look for bargains when shopping for leather jackets, but the need-to-know is that the more expensive, the better quality, and the more likely to make you look fashionable.

2. Dungarees

Comfort is key when it comes to dungarees. The 90s era of oversized jumpers with a pair of dungarees is over, and now it’s time to bring it back. While dungarees themselves aren’t cheap, it is important to make them an investment. Make sure that you buy a pair that is right for you. If they don’t sit right above the ankle or rest nicely on the shoulder, then that pair isn’t for you. A good alternative for the high-end pairs of dungarees, are TopShop or Boohoo. There you will find the pair for you, they still give you the high-end feel and ensure that you look great. People like Cara Delevingne have worn dungarees and looked great, so why not follow the trend?

3. Rounded Glasses

You would think that rounded glasses were a thing of the past, with the idea that round glasses made you seem nerdy or geeky. Well this idea has completely changed and opinions have been flipped. Even the most established celebrities are wearing the rounded glasses, and they certainly pull it off. The stylish frame is retro and vintage, something that everyone wants to bring back. They bring back that sense of intellectualism to the wearer, and give off a carefree attitude. Besides that, whether it’s a thin, wiry frame or a bold and chunky frame, rounded glasses have proven to suit most people.

4. Denim Skirts

It's clear to see that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to denim skirts. Button up, straight denim, black denim, ripped, polka dot, the lot. Lucky for you, a denim skirt suits anyone who wears them. The inclusivity that surrounds this piece of denim attracts everyone of different body types. Denim skirts ensure that you love the way you look, and that you stand out among the crowd. You won’t regret having a denim skirt in your life. I promise.

5. Denim Jackets

Once considered outdated, denim jackets are back, and for the better this time. Denim Jackets are an essential for your wardrobe. They go with absolutely everything and make sure you look your absolute best. Not only can you wear them all through the year, they are the perfect item of clothing for layering. If it’s a simple jumper underneath or just a t-shirt, put a denim jacket on top and you’ve got yourself an outfit. The level of durability is the same as that of jeans, as they are made from the same material. If you take good care of your denim jacket, then they can last up to a decade

6. Checkered Shirts

Also known as flannel shirts, checkered shirts lie in the hearts of the majority of the population. It’s likely that you have one of these shirts sitting in your wardrobe at home like the rest of us, if not you will have at least one point in your life. They go with literally everything. With a simple t-shirt, by itself or tied around your waist, these shirts ensure the maximum level of comfort upon wearing. They've survived decades, genres, classes, genders, and generations without being overlooked by new trends. They are here to stay.

7. High Waisted Jeans

We all thought that with the introduction of low cut jeans, high waisted jeans would be a thing of the past. But they’re back. Many mistakes that people make when wearing these are that they hide the whole purpose of the jeans themself. Don’t hide the high waist, that’s what it’s there for. However you need to make sure that you buy a pair that is right for you, if they don’t perfectly hug your figure, then they may look unflattering and become uncomfortable. Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Bella Thorne are just a few of many that have effortlessly pulled off the high waist denim look. While having a bad reputation for a while now, more people are showing them the love that they so rightly deserve.

8. Neon Colours

Thanks to the Kardashians, neon colours have made a comeback. But for those of us who thought that this trend would soon fade out, are wrong. Wearing these bold colours, a certain level of confidence is evoked. You stand out, you no longer blend in with the rest of the crowd. Neon colours give you a sense of individuality. While it may seem hard to pull off due to it’s intimidating nature, turn to celebrities to follow their change from dull tones to fluorescent colours. They make it seem easy, and that’s what fashion should be.

9. Captioned T-Shirts

It seems that the best way to be noticed and to get your opinion across is to wear it. Otherwise nobody will listen. You see loads of people walking through the streets with anti-racism slogans plastered on them. If this wasn’t the case, then their views wouldn’t be taken into account. Captioned T-shirts give you the opportunity to express yourself and your own personal agendas. Once you’ve seen these T-shirts, even from a distance, they remain in your memory, showing how their impact is long-lasting and allows for other people to appreciate your own tastes.
