Being bombarded with a relentless amount of homework? Teachers shouting at you? Stuck, doing nothing? Well get yourself together right now with these study tips.
1) Losing track of time and cramming all your homework in last minute is what’s going to make you fail your subjects. Plan your study periods for different lessons and what you will do in each study period each day and get your work done. Use google calendar from the Barton website to organise your time:

2) Studying may be the most boring thing you can do, so entertain yourself! Bring headphones and play music and get rid of any other distractions. Get stationary and colours to make what you’re writing more pleasing to look at.
3) Work with others who are doing the homework as well and check answers.

4) Make revision sheets for each topic in each subject so that revision is easier. Highlight key details, equations etc so that it is easy to read and understand when you need to revise for a test or your exams in the future.
5) Finally, do some work at home - the college recommends a minimum of 4.5 hours of independent study per week, per subject - but try to keep on top of it at college so that you can relax and enjoy your free time!
