Reflection On Life At Barton So far

by Selena Cai

As the weather gets colder and the days start to get shorter, it’s time for me to press the ‘pause’ button and reflect on my first month at college.

The first day of college started on the 9th of September 2020. The transition from lockdown to college was definitely a big change.

Apprehensive at first I started my first week off by arriving late to my first lesson, and missing the bus afterwards. Not a great start to the first week.

The good thing about this college is the size. Getting lost in a bigger place would definitely be more scary than getting lost in a smaller place.Getting lost at Barton evidently just means constantly going around in circles.

One of the things that I’ve definitely noticed about college is the friendly atmosphere and how supportive the staff are

The workload at college was one of the things that I struggled with especially during the first two weeks. Pre-work definitely does improve my understanding on topics that are covered in class. Do your homework, peeps!

If I could sum up my college experience so far in one sentence that would be: A levels are intense.

Intense, hard, enjoyable, difficult the list could go on.

Wrap up warm and just keep going!

Half term might not be around the corner but it’s still in October.
