Life is good series: Activities to improve your Mental Health

What is mental health, you ask? Mental health greatly affects your performance daily, both emotionally, psychologically and socially. This all needs to be taken into consideration in order to have what’s considered a good life! What can you do to improve your mental health? Well, I’m here to tell you exactly what can be done to have a pragmatic life.


Exercise


Perhaps an activity not for the light hearted but it’s proven that something as simple as going for a run around the block can release endorphins which causes you to feel happier


Going to the beach


Going to somewhere as simple as the beach alone or even with friends greatly improves your mood. Not only do you feel connected to nature, you can also experience this with your peers.


Sleep


It’s statistically proven that you spend one third of your life sleeping, as we all get older, we have our stressful days, this can lead to you keeping yourself awake however sleep is the only opportunity your brain has to reset itself. Think of all the information building up, sleep can fix that.


Yoga


This is perhaps the most useful activity to allow you to focus on yourself by yourself. Just head over to Youtube and you’ll find a video to suit your interest. Yoga allows you to think everything through within your life and to properly consider changes to make to improve your life for the better.
