Feminism is about all genders having equal rights and opportunities including rights to vote, work and equal pay. Furthermore, I agree with the word feminism as it promotes the equality of sexes and ensures that they both get fair and equal opportunities. Additionally, much has been achieved and women enjoy more rights than they did but there is still work to be done to create an equal chance for both genders. Furthermore, women tend to get paid less than men as the difference is 5.45%.

Feminism is about all genders sharing equal right and opportunities that inclue things such as equal pay aswell as the right to vote.I agree with the word feminism because it promotes equality of both genders and branding yourself as a feminist shows that you want an equal society.I dont think femisism should be rebranded it is ok how it is now.although I do think that radical feminism should be rebranded. This is more harmful to society than it is a positive.

Feminism in the past has been one of the most successful movements in gaining women the vote, better pay and better opportunities, but there is still so much to do. Women still don’t have equal pay, which in 2023 shouldn’t be a thing, in the past few years the movement has transferred from equality, to equity, which is equal support for the women who need it, of any race, gender and situation they find themselves in. Feminism, in the eyes of some, should be rebranded as equality for everyone, not just one gender or sexuality, since the LGBTQIA+ community has been evolving with new genders. I believe feminism itself shouldn’t be rebranded entirely, but some of the principles need an update, like equality not just for white women, but every women, regardless of their gender, race, sex or beliefs.

Feminism is interpreted differently by many people and so is seen differently throughout society. The actual definition of feminism is all genders having equal rights and opportunities. Therefore the actual term feminism shouldn't be ‘rebranded’, but the opinions and socia\l stereotypes surrounding it should be.

Feminism is the “advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes”. This means that women have had to fight for their rights in this world over the course of centuries. In recent history, the first wave of feminism started in the 1920s, as women fought for their “political rights”. Women in Britain fought for that, most famously, their right to vote. The idea of this was to open up new opportunities for women. The Suffragettes fought for women's right to vote. As the word “Suffrage” means the right to vote in political elections. They did this by protesting. In 1913, one of the most famous events took place at the Epsom Derby. Emily Davison threw herself onto the track in front of the King's horse, in protest of rights. However, it wasn't until 1928 when women finally got the vote.
Second wave feminism came along in the 1960s/1970s, after the hippie movement. Unlike the first wave where it focused on “political rights”, the second wave focused on equality and discrimination. Women in Britain wanted equal pay, divorce rights and more. The equal pay act of 1970 promised women equal pay to men. However, companies got around this. While equal pay didn't come into action in 1975, employers could change job titles so they could pay women a different wage, even though ots the same job! Also, women were never given the full 100% same wage. While they got pay rises, they only got about 70% of what men made.
Modern Feminism wants to put a complete end to sexism. This focuses on rights for everyone. This is important in today's society.
Overall, I think that feminism should be rebranded in a way where they fight for the rights that they were promised and never got, for example the equal pay act. While all the acts eventually came into practice, nowadays I think if the same were to occur, women shouldn't back down at all, and fight for their rights.
