With the current political climate revolving around sexual assault - whereby many people continue to experience everyday life filled with unnecessary distress - this seems to be an ongoing issue that predominantly affects women which has been raised on many social media platforms. The recent death of Sarah Everard has caused commotion in Britain, as the monstrosities we hear about everyday from different countries around the world have unexpectedly shipped its way over to England. This occurrence unfortunately occurs more often than we think and every single day thousands of women are targeted whether that be in the workplace, home or in the public eye. More than 1 in 3 women have experienced sexual violence involving physical contact in their lifetime. These figures should be very concerning to the average person yet we still brush the problem off as if it doesn’t happen right under our noses all the time. Whether you’ve experienced it first-hand, we all have or know someone who’s been a victim, we all have a story.
